U1P-Gear SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil, API GL-4 is formulated with synthetic base oils and specialty performance additives to provide improved high-temperature thermal and oxidative stability in a wide range of operating conditions. Specialty anti-scuffing additives and friction modifiers provide advanced protection and lubricity in extreme pressure conditions. Additionally, U1P-Gear SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil, API GL-4 is highly shear stable while also resisting rust, oxidation, foaming, and varnish.
U1P-Gear SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil, API GL-4 is designed for use in all seasons and exceeds the year-round, all-weather performance viscosity requirements of SAE J306 as well as the rigorous performance requirements of API GL-4. API Category GL-4 designates the type of service characteristic of gears, particularly hypoids in automotive axles under high-speed and/or low-speed, high-torque conditions.

Reasonably Priced Alternative for GL-4 Specific Transmissions
Transmission works great without spending $60 on GL-4 fluid. Would definitely buy again.

Fantastic oil. Just get it.
It shifts and sounds like a new transmission. I changed the gear oil just for maintenance purposes on my 400,000 mile 1987 Nissan pickup. It didn’t have any meaningful problems but it was on the noisy side and a down shift from second to first on the move basically wouldn’t work. Now it shifts up and down through the gears perfectly and is practically silent. I’m guessing the smooth shifting is due a lack of friction modifiers that practically all other 75w90 has in it. This stuff seems to more slippery than other gear oil too.
